Anna's Blessing and new Pics!

Posted by Amanda Wed, 20 Sep 2006 09:44:00 GMT

Anna finally met her Grandma and Grandpa Hall, Aunties Liz and Ruthie and Uncle Nate!! They visited us in Utah during the last week of August. It was fun! We blessed Anna while my family was here. Ruthanna got her mission call! She is going to Halifax, CA and leaves Nov 15th! We are planning another family gathering in Buffalo at the end of October before Ruthanna leaves.

Anna is doing very well, shes sleeping about 5-6 hours each night. Of course, some nights are better than others. She has started bringing her hands up to her mouth and holding rings. She smiles all the time, especially when she is getting a new diaper. Cloth diapering is still going well, I highly recommend it! Here are a couple pictures, the rest are on flickr! There’s a link to it a couple posts ago.

Anna is Home!

Posted by Amanda Thu, 10 Aug 2006 06:22:00 GMT

So we’ve been home for about 2 and a half weeks now! Anna is doing great, and Mom and Dad are feeling good too! Just a little sleep deprived:) Anna is such a good baby, she sleeps a lot, and eats VERY SLOWLY. We love playing with her when she’s awake (and when she’s sleeping). She pulls the funniest faces. Tonight we’re taking her for a walk around the neighborhood. Here’s a pic of one of her faces:

The socks are to prevent her from gashing out her eyes – she loves to keep her hands up by her face.

Pictures!

Posted by Amanda Mon, 22 May 2006 09:32:00 GMT

This is me at 31 weeks/7 months along.

We bought this bassinett yesterday. It rocks, vibrates and plays music. I think it’s adorable! Hopefully Anna will think it a great place to sleep.

In other news, Ben has graduated from BYU and accepted a job offer last week! I’m starting to look forward to maternity leave, and wanting more time to prepare for Anna’s arrival. We won our first cloth diaper covers on ebay today! Whoo Hoo!

It's a Girl!

Posted by Amanda Sat, 18 Mar 2006 23:38:00 GMT

We had our mid-pregnancy ultrasound, and it’s definitely a girl! Three techs confirmed it! She is so cute!! All the anatomy is perfect and she is now due on July 22nd. We were able to even see some 3D pictures of her! She was sucking her thumb, moving A LOT, yawning, rubbing her eyes, and she even stuck her tongue out at us! We’re probably going to name her Anna Marie, but of course he has to come out looking like one. We have still photos and a videotape of part of the ultrasound. It’s going to be hard to resist buying cute pink baby clothes for her!

In other news…my sister Liz is moving across the country from NY to San Fran. She and my other sister Ruthanna drove across the country last week to move her out there. I met them in Saint George, Utah for a Hall sister reunion:) It was great to see them again, it had been a while. We explored lava caves and hiked around a little bit. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long to see them again. I think they’ll come see the baby in August.

Oh – I’ll post the ultrasound pics when Ben is done with school and has time to help me. He’s in the home stretch and planning to graduate next month!

Update

Posted by Amanda Wed, 22 Feb 2006 00:42:00 GMT

At my sister Ruthanna’s request, I’ll post an update.

The “blissful 2nd trimester” doesn’t apply to me. I’m still taking at least one Zofran per day at $60/pill. Thank goodness for insurance. I’m now at 18 weeks, so I’ll probably be one of those lucky people who gets nausea/vomiting for the entire 9 months. Oh – and our new microfiber couches that were making me ill, they are banned to the garage. We now have just one chair in our family room.

On a happier note, we will get to have an ultrasound in about 2-3 weeks! We’ll probably be finding out if it’s a girl or boy. Yay!!!!!

My sister Liz is moving to California in March. She and Ruthanna are driving from NY to get there in my old Toyota Pickup that Liz bought from me. So I’ll get to see them in St George! That’ll be cool. I hope I’m feeling OK that week. I think this will make cross-country trip #5 for that truck.

I’ll post again when we know pink or blue!

Ben Lassos Stork

We have a baby on the way!!!! Whoo hoo!! Most of you reading this already knew that, but it’s official! We even have pictures to prove it. At this point I’m right about at the end of the first trimester (3 months, or 13 weeks, however you want to put it). I’ve been terribly ill for the past month and a half, but some medications are pretty much keeping things in check. We call the little thing “Stemmie”, since it was created from stem cells. Right now it’s about 2.5-3 inches long, and already has all its limbs and beginnings of organs, fingernails and hair! The heart is beating away – we saw it!! Anyway – here’s the best picture of the 3 we got at the ultrasound. The head is on the right and the feet are on the left. It’s not that hard to make out. Keep checking in for more updates!

We're In!!

Posted by Amanda Sat, 26 Nov 2005 13:07:00 GMT

We’ve moved into our new house! We’ve been staying here for about a week now, but today we finally moved the bulk of the boxes and furniture over. We had so much help from family and Ben’s parent’s hometeacher. They worked so hard, we couldn’t have done it without them. Hauling boxes is annoying and can get tiresome, but we had bigger challenges: a gym-sized elliptical, washer, dryer and a HEAVY huge hardwood bookcase. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Now, if we just unpack one box a day, we’ll be done by….2015. Ha Ha. We have until Wednesday to clean up the apt. Easier said than done – we have to paint the bathroom wall where a towel rack fell out. Other than that it shouldn’t be too bad. We are so happy to be in our new house. We love it!

Just waiting for the Key....

Posted by Amanda Wed, 16 Nov 2005 06:08:00 GMT

We closed on our house today!! We’re told that tomorrow it will be legally official, so we can get the keys from our realtor. Yay!!! I can’t wait to take pictures of the inside to post them online! Our cool new fridge (freezer bottom, french doors on top) will be delivered on Friday! We’ve also started looking at sectionals for the family room. We haven’t purchased anything yet though. Hopefully we’ll be able to move the essentials in this weekend and start “living” there – we have to be out of our apt by the end of Novemeber, and it will probably take that long to get everything out.

We’re homeowners!!!!!

Offer Accepted! (Take Two)

Posted by Amanda Sun, 09 Oct 2005 02:30:00 GMT

Yay!!!! Our offer on this better house was accepted today! They want to add a few minor things to the contract, such as excluding the hair-washing sink in the basement. Nothing major though. We’ll get to see it again on Wednesday, and bring Ben’s family with us. It’s gorgeous!
