I can’t be unfair…so here’s a post about my little Molly Moo.
I taught her how to do “touchdown!” just in time for the bowl game. She gets a kick out of it and is so cute!
You’ll also notice in this picture the leg warmers her Auntie Emily (or Eninmy as Anna calls her) knitted. They are adorable and I love not having to use tights! Tights are just a pain with frequent diaper changes. Thank you Emily! She also knitted Molly a pair of white ones :)

Who could resist posting this picture?

I know what you’re thinking…she popped her 8th tooth on the day she turned 8 months!

The apple didn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to wanting things “just so”. I admit to being pretty particular about the way things should be in the house, and Anna has her ideas about it too. The toothbrushes have to be in the exact same place every time. If I put my toothbrush in a different spot, she moves it back and tells me “NO! It goes right there!” If we forget part of her nighttime routine she is very quick to remind us. However my favorite peculiarity of hers is this:

It cracks me up every time I need to take one of her babies or stuffed animals out of the car seat to put Molly in. There is always something/one already strapped in. No fail.
For the heck of it here’s a picture of my little Miss Type A.

My blogging streak didn’t last long, did it? Well here’s a little update.
We painted the office pink and moved Anna in, with a “big girl” bed. The first thing she did was find a loose edge of paint and peeled a basketball sized spot off the wall. There is still no other furniture in the room besides her bed but that will change soon.

In August we took a trip back to NY and we had a lot of fun visiting family. Anna especially loved the gum drops from Great Grandma and Grandpa Shaver’s.

We have season tickets to the BYU football games in Provo. We’re huge fans and have started the girls out early. Anna loves “BYU Cougar Day!” and I’m trying to teach Molly to raise her arms when I say “touchdown!” The BYU bows are my favorite part of their fan gear.

In early September Ben ran a 5K at Liberty Park. He did an awesome job after only training for 6 weeks. He crossed the finish line after 27 min 13 seconds. Go Ben! I’m so proud!

While Carrie was in town we got together for a “craft night”. Carrie helped me make a BYU sling, AWESOME! I love my girls!

Molly has learned to sit up!

My friend Antoinette had a baby just a week before Molly was born and we’ve already decided they are to be married. Isn’t this a cute engagement picture?

I’ve taken up bow making. These are to match their Christmas dresses

Molly has started eating solid food and she loves applesauce! I make her baby food in the food processor and so far she’s tried squash, peas, pears, applesauce and bananas.

Here are only a few of the many tomatoes we harvested this year. I have had fun learning to can with Ben’s mom. We’ve done tomatoes, taco sauce, pears and peaches.

A tickling match? Well yes, but the important thing to note in this picture is the PANTIES! Anna is now potty trained!

I made the Halloween costumes this year. Anna is Goldbug from the Richard Scarry books and Molly is a ballerina. I made the tutu and the alteratations to the jammies, as well as the antenna headband.

Tonight we went to a pumpkin patch/corn maze! Anna LOVED it and our 4 person family got in for only $6! It was great.

I can’t believe my little girl is 2 years old already! Time has flown by so fast. We had a party for her on the Saturday before her birthday. We had a bunch of family and friends there, it was a lot of fun. Anna loved the pool and didn’t want to get out, even for cake and presents. She successfully blew out both of her candles, and was very proud of herself. She also really enjoyed opening presents and has loved all her gifts. Thank you everyone!

On her actual birthday we went to see a movie, Wall-E. Both of the girls did great! Ben’s family came along and they were a great help. Anna loves her grandparents and aunts! She also loves pizza, popcorn and soda!

After the movie there were more presents to open, here is the one from Aunt Liz, and she loves it!

Opening her gift from grandma and grandpa Hall

Molly had a good view of the present opening from this perch:

As always, the rest of the pictures are here! http://www.flickr.com/photos/bbytheway/sets/72157606264795932/

I thought this would be fun, we’ll see if anyone plays along :) Thanks Jenni!
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Ben played plumber with his dad this weekend and put in a new water heater. It started leaking on Friday, and was worse on Saturday – the day of Anna’s birthday party which I will blog about later. Most reapir places were either closed or wanted $100 just to come look at it. Ben found one guy who came do a free estimate, but he wanted $950 to do the job!! Finally after some more research Ben bought a water heater from Sears for $450 and he and his dad installed it. They had to take a break for Anna’s party, and finished up somewhere around 12:30am. At one point I heard them joking with each other that they should quit their jobs and become plumbers, lol. Uhhhhh…..yeah. I guess when all is said and done, I’m just much more grateful for hot running water!

We’re due for a trip to New York to see my family. Trying to plan it is majorly stressing me out. We could fly, and between the tickets, car rental, gas and food we’re looking at $2000. Driving with hotel stays would be a little cheaper – around $1200. Then there’s the poor-man option of my flying alone with Molly, and that would run about $750. Ugh. The whole thing is making me sick.

Sleep….yes…we are finally getting some! Last night Molly slept from 7:45-11:45, ate, then slept from 12:15-7:30! I was in heaven. She’s also crying a lot less, more patient, and eating more regularly on the 3 hour mark during the day so life is a little more predictable.

We will be having a little party for Anna’s 2nd birthday on Saturday July 19th at 7pm at our house. We’ll have the splash pool filled and serve cake and ice cream. We would love all our friends to come! I can’t believe how fast time has flown by! Here is a picture of Anna at her party last year, she has grown so much since then!

Molly was giggling up a storm today! We were at Ben’s parent’s house, and Anna was playing with a huge monkey. Molly must have thought it was the funniest thing she’d ever seen, because she just started laughing, over and over again! We didn’t have our video recorder with us, but we got a cute video on my mother in law’s camera. I don’t have it to post, but here’s a cute one I took today of Molly while Ben was holding her. The dress is so cute, a gift from someone in our ward!
