DisneyLand!

Posted by Amanda Sun, 28 Feb 2010 23:43:00 GMT

DisneyLand was awesome!!! We went on almost every ride (at least once) and I can’t decide which one was my favorite! Anna loved the Caterpillar train in Bugs Land and the Gadget Go Coaster. Molly’s faves were the Teacups and the Carousel. We ate a lot of awesome food, swam in the pool at the hotel, had lots of laughs and SO MUCH FUN!!

I love our stroller. Notice Anna’s gloves, insisting on holding Gma’s hand, and Molly’s sunglasses.

My girls have not the first clue how to post with a princess.

But that’s OK b/c Jasmine doesn’t know how to pose either

And Molly had to show her how to write her name

But at least Molly wasn’t terrified of them like she was all the other characters…

Anna didn’t get the teacup she wanted

But Molly didn’t care, it was her favorite ride!

She loved most of the rides, but slept through Monsters Inc…

Anna is a very serious driver

Even if the car isn’t moving

Of course they got princess mouse ears

that stayed on for all of 5 minutes

And the trip wouldn’t be complete without a picture in Dumbo!

I'm a bit addicted to crafting.

Posted by Amanda Thu, 08 Oct 2009 20:53:00 GMT

Here are just a few of my latest crafts…

My first pair of knitted longies for Molly, it only took a month! lol

I’ve made a whole ton of bracelets, but here are their Halloween ones!

I’ve been making a bunch of bibs lately too, here is one of Anna’s, she’s modeling it of course :) (PS I made her flower clip too)

And lastly here is Molly wearing the hat I knitted for her, but it’s too small (I knit tight) so I get to make her another one!

Happy to unwrap a new princess towel from Aunt Lizzie!

Opening many cards from relatives, and reading a note from Grandma and Grandpa Hall in this picture!

Checking out her new bunny, Mopsy, from Aunt Ruthie and Uncle David. She LOVES this bunny and won’t sleep with anything else! It goes everywhere with her!

Sewing machine cover and new craft desk

Posted by Amanda Tue, 21 Jul 2009 04:41:00 GMT

Ben bought me my sewing machine for Mother’s Day LAST year, and I’ve just tonight finally finished making the cover for it. What do you think?

And here is the craft desk that Ben got me for Mother’s Day this year. I LOVE it! I still need to get some baskets for the cubes to hold the smaller things, and get some cute decorations up, but this is 100% better than my “craft pile” in the corner of the family room!

And since I’m posting about crafts, here’s a bracelet and bows I made last week. I’m not crazy about the bows (don’t know til you try it, huh?) but I think the bracelet is pretty cute.

I Learned How to Knit

Posted by Amanda Thu, 02 Jul 2009 21:05:00 GMT

I told my Mom I’d blog about this so she could see what I was telling her about. My lovely and talented sister in law Emily taught me how to knit so I could make this cute diaper soaker for Molly. If you aren’t familiar with cloth diapering with wool, this is a waterproof cover that goes over the diaper. It becomes waterproof by lanolizing it. It was an easy pattern to follow, and I think it turned out really cute.

You can find the free pattern here

Here’s a pic of my completed soaker. Check back soon, I’m working on another one :)

Birthdays and Tracy Aviary

Posted by Amanda Tue, 30 Jun 2009 20:42:00 GMT

June is a month full of birthdays for the Bytheway sisters! First up is Emily, then I’m a couple weeks later, then finally Lisa and Laura. We love all the excuses for good food, parties and presents! Thank you everyone who wished me a happy day and sent thoughtful cards and gifts :) You all truly made it a special day!

On the twin’s big day, we all went to Tracy Aviary. It’s a large bird park located in even larger Liberty Park in SLC. It was my first time there, and I was impressed! Next time I’d like to make it for a bird show though. We missed the bird shows, but made it just in time for dinner. (Don’t worry, I’ll spare you all the picture of a vulture ripping into a cute little white bunny).

Enjoy the pictures…

Anna and Thomas hanging out

Cute Molly in our new stroller that I LOVE. Get a Joovy Ultralight!

A not-so-great pic of our group (minus me, I’m holding the camera!)

Anna was fascinated by this Peacock. We had to continue to remind her to keep some distance, and when I asked her to turn for a picture, she stuck out her tongue. Well….that’s my girl!

Playing with Friends!

Posted by Amanda Tue, 16 Jun 2009 03:01:00 GMT

The past couple months have been full of outings and play dates with friends! I’m a lucky girl to have so many good friends, and Anna and Molly love playing with their friends too! Here are some highlights.

In May we went to Wheeler Farm. We love Wheeler Farm – it’s close, free and has lots of animals! The girls always have fun.

Here’s a shot of the group.

Anna walking with one of her best friends, Audrey.

In June a huge group of us got together at my house. It was awesome! I finally got to meet one friend who lives out of state (Whitney – far right in this pic).

Here’s Anna swinging with friends Emily and Lindsey.

And here’s cute Molly pushing around her baby stroller, wearing her hat from Aunt Ruthie and Uncle David!

Last week we went to This Is The Place Historical Park with a smaller group of friends. There was free admission, ice cream, train rides and pony rides. What a fun day!

Molly and friend Anna-banana (not to be confused with my Anna-bug) at the playhouses there.

Anna riding a pony all by herself!

A New Addition to Our Family

Posted by Amanda Fri, 29 May 2009 02:41:00 GMT

We are now the proud owners of a brand new 2009 Toyota Tacoma. Ben wanted it as a commuter vehicle for work, and to haul things for the garden. So to save some money on the price tag and future fill-ups, it’s a 5-speed manual 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive version. And we love it :)

It has an “Access Cab” for extra passengers…

And the girls love hanging out in the back too!

So there you have it. Any suggestions for a name?
